Agreement on the Revised Salary Structure for Public Servants not covered by an OSD

Revised Salary Structure for Salary Levels 1-12

Salary Level 1 will be reduced to 5 notches

Salary Levels 2-12 will be reduced to 12

1.5% increment between notches

Progression to a higher notch within a salary level will be based on performance

Salary Levels Progression for Employees on Levels 1-2

Public Servants on Salary Level 1 with more than 5 years completed service to progress to salary level 2

Employees appointed at Level 2 with more than 15 years service to progress to Level 3

Public Servants on Salary Level 1 & 2 with more than 20 years continuous service will progress to salary level

Effective 1 April 2009

Salary Levels 4, 5, 6, 7

From 1 April 2010 employees on level 4,5,6,7 with more than 15 years continuous service on a salary notch who has performed satisfactorily will progress by one salary level .i.e level 4 will progress to level 5 etc.

Grade progression will not apply to Salary Levels 3, 8 and 10. i.e grade progression from level 3-4, 8-9 and 10-11.

Salary Level 9, 11

From 1 April 2010, employees on salary level 9 and 11 with 15 years completed continuous service on their salary level will progress one level if they have obtained a satisfactory rating in their performance assessment.

From 1 July 2020, the commencing salary for employees appointed as Assistant Directors and Deputy Directors in post not covered by OSD’s, will be on salary levels 9 and 11 respectively.

Accelerated Grade Progression

An employee who have performed above satisfactory for 12 years cumulatively in a specific salary grade shall accelerate from level 4 to 5, 5 to 6, 6,7 & 7 to 8 respectively.

Only 30% of employees will be awarded accelerated grade progression in a year.

Accelerated grade progression will commence 1 April 2010
